Kobrand’s Privacy Policy
Your right to privacy is very important. We recognize that when you choose to provide us with information about yourself, you trust us to act in a responsible manner. We believe this information should only be used to help us provide you with better service. That’s why we have put a policy in place to protect your personal information.
Wherever we collect personal information we make an effort to include a link to this Privacy Policy on that page.
Information Collection and Use
Kobrand Corporation is the sole owner of this information collected on this site. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement. Kobrand Corporation collects information from our users at several different points on our website.
Cookies
Like many companies, we use “cookies” on this website. Cookies are bits of text that are placed on your computer’s hard drive when you visit certain websites. We use cookies to tell us, for example, whether you’ve visited us before or if you’re a new visitor and to help us identify site features in which you may have the greatest interest. Cookies may enhance your online experience by saving your preferences while you are visiting a particular site. That “help” portion of the toolbar on most web browsers will tell you how to stop accepting new cookies, how to be notified when you receive a new cookie, and how to disable existing cookies. If you disable cookies, you may not be able to take full advantage of all our website features.
Certain pages on our site contain “web beacons” (also know as internet tags and clear GIFs). These web beacons allow third parties to obtain information such as the IP address of the computer that downloaded the page on which the beacon appears, the URL of the page on which the beacon appears, the time the page containing the beacon was viewed, the type of browser used to view the page, and the information in cookies set by the third party.
Log Files
We use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses are never linked to any personally identifiable information.
Sharing
We will only share broad aggregated demographic information with our partners. This is not linked to any personal information that can identify any individual person.
We may use an outside shipping company to ship orders. This company will not retain, share, store or use personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes.
We may partner with another party to provide specific services. When the user signs up for these services, we must share names, or other contact information that is necessary for the third party to provide these services. These parties are not allowed to use personally identifiable information except for the purpose of providing these services.
Some contests and promotions are subject to their own rules and policies which may supercede this Privacy Policy. Please see the Official Rules for the specific contest or promotion for details.
We use an outside company to host and administer our website. In the course of administering the website, this company may from time to time obtain access to personally identifiable information. This company will not retain, share, store or use personally identifiable information for any purpose other than the administration of our website.
Links
This website may contain links to other sites.
While we will seek to require these sites to follow appropriate privacy policies, we do not bear any responsibility for privacy policies of these sites. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our site and to read the privacy statement of each and every website that collects personally identifiable information. This privacy statement applies solely to information collected by this website.
Security
This website takes significant efforts to protect our users’ information. When users submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and off–line. When our registration/order form asks users to enter sensitive information (such as credit card number), that information is encrypted and is protected with Secure Socket Layers (SSL) encryption software, which is widely used by online retailers. While on a secure page the lock icon on the bottom of web browsers such as Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer becomes locked, as opposed to unlocked, or open, when you are just ‘surfing’.
While we use SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, we also take precautions to protect user–information off–line. All of our users’ information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted in our offices. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, our billing clerk or a customer service representative) are granted access to personally identifiable information.
Notification of Changes
If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on our Homepage so our users are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it. If at any point we decide to use personally identifiable information in a manner different from that stated at the time it was collected, we will attempt to notify users by way of an e–mail if we have an e–mail address for you. Users will have a choice as to whether or not we use their information in this different manner. We will use information in accordance with the privacy policy under which the information was collected.
Legal Disclaimer
We reserve the right to disclose your personally identifiable information as required by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights and/or to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on us.
Sale of Our Company
As a natural consequence of the development of our company, we could be sold to another company. In the event that another company acquires us or a significant portion of our assets is sold to another company, all customer data including financial records and consumer information collected on Kobrand’s website may be transferred to the new company. We will attempt to notify you via e–mail of any such change in ownership or control of your personal information if we have an e–mail address for you.
